I extend my congratulations to Richard Demarco and Johnny Watson for the vision and commitment driving their Skateraw project. At a time when the Scottish Executive is looking for ways to overcome barriers to enjoyment of the arts, this exciting project has the potential to deliver a new hub of creativity in East Lothian.I hope it may provide a magnet to creative souls, here, and from across the world. This is a testimony to Scotlands vibrant visual arts scene and to Richard Demarco's remarkable, life-long enthusiasm for bringing artists together to share their work - enriching the spirit and opening up a world of cultures, experience and possibility.
